The amalgamation of Otford and Shoreham Cricket teams has created a new and dynamic club serving the 2 villages, with a picturesque ground in the heart of the North Downs in Kent. Shoreham is easily accessible from London and makes the perfect place for a day trip. We are always keen to attract new players and would encourage anyone interested to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We have a First XI (Div 3) and a Second XI (Div 7) that both play in the Kent Village Cricket League on a Saturday, and a Sunday team that plays non-league cricket.
Shoreham is a beautiful village in the equally beautiful Darent Valley. It’s the perfect setting for traditional village cricket, complete with a half-timbered pub to repair to after the game.
Our ground, screened by trees but still enjoying magnificent views, is set in the middle of the Darenth Valley golf course. The wicket, outfield and grounds are very well maintained and are a joy for players and spectators alike. Being on chalk, the ground drains very readily and so games are rarely lost to the weather.
We are a friendly club, drawing most of our players from Shoreham village and the surrounding area, but we also have players from further afield, including some who escape for a day to the countryside from London. We can be reached by car from south or south east London in under half an hour or by train from London Bridge, Victoria or Blackfriars.
Spectators are warmly welcomed and there are plenty of great spots for picnics around the outfield. A cup of tea is always available at the tea interval during home matches!
